Preparación y estudios estructurales diversos de compuestos inorgánicos

Palabras Claves: Síntesis; Caracterización; Estructura; Espectroscopía; Solidos inorgánicos;

Synthesis and several structural studies of inorganic compounds

Key words: Synthesis; Characterization; Structure; Spectroscopy; Inorganic solids;

Abstract: The following inorganic solids are synthesized: oxometallates, oxoanions and mixed oxides. Their structural spectroscopic thermal and magnetic properties are studied, as well as their potential applications as catalysts, ceramic materials, biomaterials and colossal.magneto-resistance. Order-disorder factors, structural distortions and cationic substitutions on minerals (columbite-tantalite, perovskites, spinels, molibdates and wolframates) are investigated in relation to the properties of the solids in order to improve their applications. Several compounds derived from dicarboxylic acids and metal-ion drug complexes are obtained by different methods. The crystalline structures are determined and the spectroscopic, thermal and magnetic behaviour is analyzed. The former ones use to be applied for modelling metal-ion proteins interactions and they also exhibit a potential use as catalysts and optical materials. Certain metal-drug complexes present diverse pharmacologycal activities and for some of them, the anticonvulsant action have been measured. The superficial interaction of different ionic species onto adsorbent materials are studied in order to contribute to process of removal of contaminants from wastewaters and their posterior recovery.
